The real name of Yellowstone star Rip Wheeler is Cole Hauser. He was born in Santa Barbara, California. However, he is now living in Los Angeles. He is married to Cynthia Daniel. Cynthia is also an actor, and they have three children.

His mother Cass Warner founded Warner Sisters, and his father Wings Hauser worked as an actor. His family history is deeply rooted in film: his grandfathers were writers Dwight Hauser and Milton Sperling, and his grandfather, Harry M. Warner, was a producer. He comes from German, Irish, and Belgian roots on his father’s side, and a Jewish family from Austria, Russia, and Poland on his mother’s side.

Rip Wheeler grew up on a pig farm near Miles City, Montana. His parents were divorced, so he lived with his brother. On 14 July 1997 his father came back to the farm and attacked Rip, his brother, and their mother. Rip’s brother didn’t survive, and Rip passed out from the attack. When he came to, he saw his father stabbing his mother. Without thinking, Rip grabbed a frying pan and hit his father on the skull, and he got killed at that moment.

After that, the sheriff brought Rip to John Dutton of the Montana Livestock Association. John Dutton listened to the whole story and then he decided to give Rip a second chance. He adopted Rip into his family and brought him to the Ranch, where Rip began a new life as part of the Dutton family.

Engagement

Years later, Rip fell in love with Beth, John Dutton’s daughter. Rip never thought much about marriage, but Beth wanted it. After she realized Rip may never propose, Beth decided to act first. She gave Rip a ring and asked him to marry her.

Beth said: “The only thing I ask is you outlive me, so I never have to live another day without you.

Rip replied: “I can try and do that.”

From that day, Rip and Beth were engaged and later got married on the ranch.

Rip proved himself by working on the ranch after getting a second chance after he killed his father. He started as a ranch hand and later became the foreman. He had authority over the other ranchhands. John treated him like family. In season 2 John wrote a letter and called Rip his son. Rip also worked as an enforcer for John Dutton’s criminal activities to protect the ranch.
